Gold Coast Writers' Association monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month, at Fradgley Hall, above Burleigh Heads Library, Park Avenue, Burleigh Heads. Guest speakers; book launches; literary readings; socialising; networking. Writing workshops held throughout the year. New members welcome. Kaleidoscope art exhibition by the Ridgeway Artists will be open to the public from 28 February to 12 noon on 9 March at the Robina Community Centre Art Gallery, Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina. The Ridgeway Artists are a multicultural group of artists with diverse backgrounds. They come from many lands including Australia but now call the Gold Coast home. Each Friday & Saturday the Gold Coast Potters' Assoc. presents the work of 9 local clay Artists- Anne Mossman, Di Buckland, Jan Brown, Joan Smith, Lynette Rogers, Megan Puls, Nanette Hall, Shirley Battrick & Su Brown. Twisted Pallets Art group are holding a very colourful exhibition of their paintings,we will be featuring some very experienced emerging artists,who meet together regularly,to support and stimulate art, producing fine pieces of traditional, abstract and other contemporary art.Contributing artists will be in attendance at most times, to provide extra insight into the displayed work.We will also be open until 7pm on thursdays and Saturday 9am to 3pm sunday 12am to 4pm.

Award winning author Louise Cusack will be conducting the Write that Book workshop series as part of the 2009 Creative Juices Professional Development Program. Participants will be led through the process of imagining, planning, drafting, editing and then polishing a full length fiction manuscript during five full day workshops. Limited places available. Theatre Audition - Gold Coast Little Theatre - for the American Court-room drama JURY ROOM. Season runs from 27 June to 18 July 2009. A carnivale for all ages, Saturday 9 May 2009 will see Currumbin RSL and Currumbin Creek transformed into an otherworldly mystical path of delight with a surprise around every corner. Along with film, singing, dance, lantern and comedy workshops there will be street performers, visual arts, comedy, music, circus and theatre stages. Culminating in a light spectacular on the water on the Saturday evening. Come along and immerse yourself in a playful world of dalliance and delight.
